Bullish Nancy does not fear being fired however Celtic fans show wrath following defeat.
The under-pressure manager declared he did not fear losing his job, claiming, “We are very near to things turning around,” in the wake of sliding worryingly close to being fired with a heavy defeat by Rangers.
Another Meltdown Results in Old Firm Loss
The Hoops were ahead Rangers at half-time but a second-half capitulation let Danny Röhl’s team to draw level on points with the reigning Scottish Premiership champions. Nancy, who was hired in December, has now been in charge for six setbacks in his first eight matches.

“The performance we had at stages was of top quality. That happened. And I would not say that if it was not the case. That is the reason, when it comes to wins, I mentioned we've seen this before. Which is why I said that we are nearly there to a shift in fortunes. Right now: details, details, details.”
“There were a lot of encouraging signs that we did, like today again. However it’s about sustaining it. My message would change the same. This is why I firmly believe we will manage to turn things around.”
Röhl’s Cautious Stance
Rangers manager was cautious about a title charge even after what appeared to be a landmark win. “We take it game by game, then we can develop something here,” he said. “The faith in the squad is immense.”
