Los Angeles witnessed widespread celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-match World Series title. Supporters worldwide joined Angelenos in jubilation, marking the initial time in 25 years that a franchise has secured consecutive championships.
Victory Parade Attracts Massive Crowds
Local events featured a procession through the city center on Monday morning, a reserved-seating event at the team's home stadium, and impromptu gatherings across the city.
Social media videos show thousands of Los Angeles residents packing downtown streets, many carrying homemade signs and team flags. The team was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the crowds, raising the championship trophy proudly.
“I’m already thinking about the third time we’re going to achieve this,” Shohei Ohtani remarked through an translator.
The parade route concluded at the stadium, where the players walked out to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ spinning music and the artist driving a Pacific blue classic car around the stadium’s outfield.

The World Series served as a bright spot in what has been a trying year for Los Angeles. An estimated 225,000 people attended to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to Dodgers player Freddie Freeman, supporters this year showed as much if not more support.
“I feel like it’s almost double from last year,” Freeman remarked. “These fans are crazy. It’s so awesome to be a part of this.”
