Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the this year's Young Sports Star of the Year award.

These three athletes have been honoured for their outstanding achievements over the past 12 months.

Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a unprecedented innings.

Littler won the award in 2024 after his breakthrough year.

The finalists were revealed during a live broadcast on a widely-listened-to radio show.

This year's winner will be unveiled on the Sports Personality of the Year show on the 18th of December.

The event will be aired from 7 PM GMT.

The Football Star

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Only 90 days after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.

She entered the fray to score crucial late equalisers in both the quarter-final and semi-final.

Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.

Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the top young European talent.

She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.

Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.

"Being on the shortlist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a privilege," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."

Littler's Profile

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

The year started for Littler in spectacular fashion as - aged 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.

He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.

He didn't stop there - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the first time.

At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, shattering the previous record.

"Earning a spot on the shortlist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a highlight for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."

The Cricket Sensation

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and rose to fame with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.

Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.

It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.

Perrin ended up as runner-up in the batting rankings and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.

"I'm incredibly grateful to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it motivates more young women to get into cricket."
